LIPA SLOVAK FOLK DANCERS

 

The Lipa Slovak Folk Dancers present dances of the Republic of Slovakia and feature all three regions, East, West and Central Slovakia.  The dances presented are authentic and unchanged and performed just as presented in the Slovak Republic.  This makes for a very lively and spirited dance performance; one that leaves the audience tapping its feet and humming along with the music.   The dancers perform in authentic Slovak folk dress and the music and dances as well as the folk dress are all authentic replicas of what would be seen in the Slovak Republic at a folk festival.

 

The group has performed at many venues including IronWorld at Chisholm, Minnesota, the Festival of Nations in St. Paul, Minnesota, the Minnesota State Fair for the  Immigration & History Research Center of the University of Minnesota, the Minnesota History Center to full houses and many other small festivals and events.
